Turn off the power switch that supplies power to Casablanca ceiling fan at the main panel. Mark the breaker to warn others about the work in progress. Remove the three decorative screws located at the bottom of the fan using a suitable screwdriver. Turn the screws counterclockwise. Remove the decorative cover by pulling it straight down. You will notice a plug-in connector with a small red square hung with threads. The contact on the Casablanca light kit also has a red square.
Lift the light kit unit to the Casablanca ceiling fans and connect the plug from the kit to the connector on the fan. Raise the two red squares when connecting the plugs to each other. Make sure the contacts are properly seated. Connect the light kit base to the fan, cut plug wires in as you do. Insert and tighten the three basic screws clockwise with a screwdriver. Install the incandescent bulbs in their sockets and tighten clockwise by hand. Pass the zipper from light kits through the center of the metal disc that comes with the kit. The disc supports the back of transparent bowl that covers lights and slides over the threaded shoulder. Control the chain through each item in that order. Turn the nut clockwise on the threaded spindle and tighten by hand.
